I am working on battery-powered test instrument and was curious about power consumption of other similar instruments.
I have two Fluke Multimeters Fluke 179 and Fluke 287 which I use for my development work.
I removed the batteries and connected NanoRanger for current measurement and supplied 9V from my Owon’s DC power supply.
I was surprised to see the power consumption results and got an answer why I needed to replace batteries too often in case of Fluke 287.
