Ai-Thinker radar module Rd-04 is a motion sensing module designed based on X-band radar chip XBR818.

Example: when people enter the detection area, the display starts, and when people leave the detection area, the display stops. This reducing the power consumption of the appliances and also helps increase life of the display backlight by optimizing its operating hours.

Smart Home Application: Door Access Control System
Low-power radar module can be used for face recognition access control system, which can be used in use case such as office buildings, community doorways, government buildings, etc.
When people are in close proximity, the screen lights up and wakes up the access control system, This allows the access control system to be in a low-power state without being affected by ambient light and temperature, which can greatly reduce power consumption and make the standby time of equipment’s longer.

Smart Camera Application
Combined with radar module with accurate human body sense algorithm, when someone approaches, the camera can be linked to capture video, and when people are far away, the camera is turned off to enter a low-power state.
